We're Back in the Finals! Help Us Bring Wedding and Event Florist of the Year Home Again

Grab a cuppa, because we have some exciting news to share.

Last year, we stood in a room full of the very best florists in the country, heart in mouth, waiting to hear who had won Wedding and Event Florist of the Year at the British Florist Association Industry Awards. When they called our name, Lily's Flowers, we were absolutely over the moon. It was one of those moments you replay in your head for months afterwards, even a year later, it makes me smile!

And now? We're doing it all again.

Nominated. Again. 

We are beyond thrilled to confirm that Lily's Flowers has been nominated once more for Wedding and Event Florist of the Year at this year's BFA Industry Awards. Not just nominated either. We have made it through to the finals.

Let's be honest, getting to this stage is no small feat. This category has already been through a serious process of elimination, with entries whittled down from florists right across the UK. Every round, you just never know if you're going to make it through. There is no guarantee, no easy path, just hard work and hoping the judges see what you see in your own work.

We made it through. And now we are up against some of the best wedding and event florists in the country, all fighting for the same title we brought home last year.

Why This Matters More Than a Trophy

Here's the bit we want you to really understand. This isn't just about a shiny award to put on a shelf (although, let's be honest, it does look rather lovely there).

The floral industry is more competitive than it has ever been. Anyone can order flowers online these days. Anyone can find a bucket of blooms and call themselves a florist for a day. So what makes a real florist, a real studio, stand out from the crowd? It's craft. It's consistency. It's showing up for a couple on the biggest day of their lives and delivering something that takes their breath away, every single time.

That is exactly what we have been working towards over the past two decades. We haven't just been ticking along. We have been raising the bar, refining our designs, investing in training, pushing our standards higher and higher. If you read our previous blog celebrating 20 years in business, you will know that although we have gone from strength to strength since we opened our doors, we are not the sort of business that rests on past achievements. We want to keep growing, keep improving, and keep future-proofing our brand for decades to come.

Being nominated for this award again, and making it to the finals, tells us that the hard work is being noticed. It tell's the whole industry, and every couple planning their wedding, that Lily's Flowers is not a one-year wonder, we work hard, and we're the real deal, consistently.
